Michael Woods, the man behind Warrior and Out of Office is on the move again. Having had various chart successes with his previous works; he's added his name to the Diffused Music label . A new project presenting mold-breaking artists and the freshest tunes across dance music, from electro to techno and breaks to funk.
Michael Woods is currently one of the UK's most popular music producers and DJs and is heating up by the minute. Back in 2000, initially breaking onto the scene as "Warrior", he achieved immediate chart success with the song of the same name, landing at No. 1 in the club chart and top 20 UK Singles Chart. The follow up Voodoo shared the same ear-pleasing fate as it also went into the charts and laced decks throughout the same year.
Working with Imogen Bailey and Juliette James (Holly Valance's "Kiss Kiss") on "If You Want Me" he became widely known as he continued to master his craft. Working with his sister (vocalist Marcella Woods who achieved a top 10 in the UK Single Charts with "Beautiful") and Radio 1's Judge Jules on "So Special", he again delivered another powerhouse collaboration.
"Out of Office" was born in 2007 and the subsequent releases, "Hands Up" and "Break of Dawn 2008" (vocals performed by Marcella) created an alter-ego to be reckoned with, as all major radio stations showed support and the tunes were speaker-popping both across the UK and internationally.
Having attended music schools including the Centre for Young Musicians and Trinity College and the small benefit of having a piano-teaching father, Michael's musicality remained in his blood and has translated and flowed into the various projects he's undertaken, the people he's worked with, the various remixes he's injected a fresh angle into (everyone from Ian van Dahl to Energy 52 ["Cafe del Mar"]) right up until the now- Diffused Music, where he is crafting the same future as his other successes with the latest single- "Natural High".
"Natural High" feat. Inaya Day is the latest release under Diffused Music and has the powerful vocals of an artist who has worked with P. Diddy and Michael Jackson to name just a few. Already supported by Radio 1's resident dance sage- Pete Tong, Kiss Fm's Steve Smart and leading DJs across the globe this could be another big hit, as it climbs up the Buzz and Cool Cut charts.
The Depot is proud to support Michael Woods and his newest release. We got the hook up from Michael himself who threw us some of these remixes. To be honest, there isn't one in this bunch we didn't like. In fact we had a hard time trying to choose a favorite. Maybe the Micky Slim remix was a notch above the rest. Choose for yourself.
